Grace Manglet is a Board Certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive privileges. She uses a holistic approach to Psychiatric and Mental Health issues and focuses on helping teen and adult patients create and maintain meaningful changes in life. Ms. Manglet integrates mindfulness, meditation, exercise and health nutrition along with pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy.
Ms. Manglet is also a Certified EMDR therapist ( Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing ). In addition to treating Major trauma, she uses EMDR to optimize care for clients suffering from depression and anxiety. Her training in CBT ( Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ) and DBT ( Dialectical Behavioral therapy) aid in formulating optimal care for her clients . She did her Baccalaureate in Nursing from India in 1990 with First Rank in University. She worked in India, Middle East and later in New York as a Registered Nurse for 20 years in Medical, Surgical and Psychiatric Units.
Ms. Manglet completed her Masters in Nursing from Columbia University with Mary Bleecker Simmon’s award for the student who shows compassion and devotion to the mental health needs of clients. She worked as a research assistant for Pace University and as a faculty member for Columbia university school of Nursing. Ms. Manglet has 7 years of experience in Emergency Psychiatry and Private Practice.
