Life provides us with many challenges. Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, grief or trauma, you do not have to tackle these challenges alone. Therapy provides a safe place for one to understand, work through and develop strategies to help with these challenges.
I have been in the social work field, practicing as a clinical therapist for 26 years. I received my BA from McGill University in 1985 and my MSW from Wurzweiler School of Social Work in 1990. In 1994, I received my post graduate degree specializing in the treatment of child sexual abuse and family violence. I am a member of the International Association of Trauma Professionals.
I have professional training and specialize in trauma, grief, loss and bereavement, particularly with loss due to suicide. I have experience working in Child Welfare, Crisis Intervention and direct therapeutic service including working with issues such as anxiety and bullying.
Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about dancing in the rain
I believe in taking a holistic approach to therapy which includes CBT, mindfulness, relaxation and psychotherapy. I work with children, adolescents and adults providing Individual, group and family therapy.
